Do you have on-site parking?

Yes, we offer complimentary parking. The island has limited parking and we are fortunate to offer the great feature of complimentary parking to our guests. We are only able to allow 1 vehicle per room and the parking is first-come, first-serve basis. We do monitor the parking lot daily and we present a parking pass upon check-in to be placed visible on the dash board of the vehicle for ease of monitoring. The parking lot is narrow and is often difficult for larger vehicles to park. Please ask the front desk for alternative options.

Is the La Avenida Inn outdoor pool heated?

Our outdoor pool is not heated. However, during the summer months the pool tends to be the perfect temperature to cool down in after enjoying the beautiful warm sunshine at the beach.

How do I compliment the La Avenida Inn?

It is always great to receive feedback of our guests stay and we always appreciate any comments or suggestions! We would need your email attached to your reservation and we will send you a survey for compliments regarding the hotel itself or staff that exceeded your expectations.

Do you allow pets?

Unfortunately we do not allow pets to stay here at the hotel. We only allow service animals.

Do any of your rooms have kitchenettes?

Unfortunately, we do not have rooms with kitchenettes. Our Del Suite does have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Otherwise we do have a microwave available in the lobby for use 24 hours a day, and refrigerators available upon request for nominal nightly fee.

Do you have my teddy bear from 10 years ago?

We keep lost & found items for up to 30 days after checkout. If you find that when you get home that you left an item behind after checkout, please give us a call and we will send your belongings back to you.

How close is the La Avenida Inn to the beach?

We are only 1000 feet away from the beautiful silvery sands of the Coronado Beach and Pacific Ocean. It is 5 minutes or less walk from our hotel.

How long does it take from the La Avenida Inn to go to San Diego?

San Diego is directly across the bay from Coronado. It does depend on the means of transportation. The Coronado Ferry that you can take across the bay from the Ferry Landing that runs every hour into the evening hours that takes approximately 15 minutes. Public transportation is available to go to Downtown San Diego and it takes approximately 40 minutes. Driving to Downtown San Diego should take approximately 15 minutes.

Do you have a shuttle service from the San Diego Airport?

Unfortunately, we do not offer a shuttle service from the airport. Taxis are usually available at the airport in the Transportation Plazas. Otherwise, we do recommend Flex Transportation service. This is a great reliable local company that takes appointments to get setup beforehand. For more information for transportation options, please go to our transportation page.

Are you close to shops & Restaurants?

Yes, there are fabulous restaurants with a variety of choices and great shopping within a few short walking distance of the hotel. Whether, less than a minute (directly next door) or several minutes, there is plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment for the all ages.

Where can we rent bikes?

How far is the hotel located from the Military Base?

On Coronado, we have two military bases and Coronado’s two naval bases are an essential part of daily life in Coronado. We are conveniently located between the two bases. We are located only 1.5 miles from the North Island Military Base. Additionally, we are located only 0.9 miles north of the Naval Amphibious Base Coronado.

Reservations

Do I need a credit card to make a hotel room reservation?

Yes, La Avenida Inn requires a credit card for all hotel reservations. This guarantees your hotel room until your arrival date. Your credit card will not be charged until you arrive at the hotel. (With the exception of any reservations during July 1-7.)

If you do not cancel your reservations in accordance with the hotel’s cancellation policy, you will be charged for one night’s hotel stay. (With the exception of any reservations during July 1-7)

 What is the cancellation policy for the La Avenida Inn?

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy for January 1 to June 12th and also from the day after Labor Day to December 31st.

From June 12th to Labor Day we have a 14 day cancellation policy in affect.

During the week of July 1 to July 7, we have a 30 day cancellation policy.

If you do not cancel your reservations in accordance with the hotel’s cancellation policy, you will be charged for one night’s hotel stay. (With the exception of any reservations during July 1-7)

How do I modify or cancel a reservation?

Any reservations made online through the La Avenida Inn website or that was made directly with the hotel, please call (800) 437-0162 and our Front Desk Agents will be more than happy to assist you.

If the reservation was made through an online booking agency, you must give the company that the reservation was booked with a call to modify or cancel.

How do I make a group reservation?

To request a reservation for a group or for more information, please contact by email to sales@laavenidainn.com. Please make sure to provide your contact information and the specific dates.

How do make a special request regarding my stay?

Special requests can be made when making your hotel booking online. Requests for roll away beds, cribs and floor preferences, as well as any requests noted in comments section during the reservation process online can be made. Special requests are not guaranteed and will be honored depending on availability at check-in, but we will do our very best to accommodate the request. If you have specific needs or questions regarding your request, please call the hotel directly.
