Last Minute Deals, Special Offers and Packages are generally available Sunday through Thursday unless otherwise specified. Certain packages may be available on Friday and Saturday.
Blackout dates include, but are not limited to, the following dates unless otherwise noted or approved by the General Manager: Thanksgiving week, Christmas to New Year’s week, Martin Luther King Weekend, Valentine’s Day and Presidents Weekend, Easter Weekend, Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend. We reserve the right to exclude or add additional special event periods to the above list.
All packages and promotions are based on availability. There are a limited number of packages available per night, regardless of actual hotel availability. Furthermore, if we anticipate the hotel will be 80% or more occupied, all packages and specials offers will no longer be available for that night.
To guarantee a Last Minute Deal, Special Offer or Package, guests will need to request the offer at the time of reservation and the inn will send a confirmation, guaranteeing the special rate or package. We cannot guarantee a special rate or package to be available if mentioned after the initial reservation was made, including pre-check in, during the stay or at check-out.
Many of our Last Minute Deals, Special Offers or Packages are developed around specific room types and their respective room rates. Due to this, certain room types are excluded from the package.
Last Minute Deals, Special Offers and Packages may not be combined with other specials offers. If there are numerous packages available during your dates of stay, we are more than happy to determine which offer presents the best value for your stay.
Rates are based on two person occupancy for single queen and king guestrooms and four persons for the double queen guestroom. All requests for a rollaway must be made prior to check in, as certain rooms cannot accommodate an additional person.
Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is by 11:00 a.m. on the departure date, unless previously arranged with the front desk. Due to our small size, we typically cannot accommodate an early check-in or late departure.
Complimentary hot coffee, pastries and fruit available each morning from 6am to 10am daily in the Front Office Lobby.
Our outdoor pool is available to guests between 7am and 10pm. The pool is not heated, however, during the summer months the pool tends to be the perfect temperature to cool down in after enjoying the beautiful warm sunshine at the beach.
Transient Occupancy Tax is charged on the room rate only. There are no additional fees.
To guarantee your reservation, we require a valid credit card. Unless otherwise stated at time of reservation, we do not charge your card in advance except for July 1-7 and holiday/event periods which require prepayment in full at the time of reservation.
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy for January 1 to June 12th and also from the day after Labor Day to December 31st.
From June 12th to Labor Day we have a 14 day cancellation policy.
During the week of July 1 to July 7, all reservations are non-refundable and non-transferable
If you do not cancel your reservations in accordance with the hotel’s cancellation policy, you will be charged for one night’s hotel stay. (With the exception of any reservations during July 1-7)
All cancellations incur a $25 cancellation fee. Any reservations made online through the La Avenida website or that was made directly with the hotel, please call (800) 437-0162 and our Front Desk Agents will be more than happy to assist you. We highly recommend that you reserve directly with the inn to receive the best rate, however you may use third-party agents. Should you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so through their website.
Group bookings and reservations during a special event or holiday period are subject to a longer cancellation policy and pre-payment. This will be stated on your confirmation. If you have any questions, please contact the manager about your cancellation policy. Guests who fail to cancel their reservation and reserved their guestroom as part of a group or during a special event period are subject to a no-show charge equal to the entire stay. La Avenida requires a minimum stay during certain periods of the year, special events and holiday periods. If you have reserved a guestroom during a time period with a minimum night stay and need to cancel, depart early or fail to check-in for your reservation, please know that the minimum night stay will be charged to your credit card on file. Guests will be required to present valid identification at check-in that matches the guest name on the reservation as well as the credit card used to pay for the guestroom. If someone other than the guest on the reservation will be paying the folio charges, a Credit Card Authorization form is required and must be on file at time of check-in.
La Avenida Inn is 100% smoke-free. Please do not smoke or vape in any of the guestrooms, on the patios or within 20 feet of the building. If smoking occurs, there will be a $200 cleaning fee per night added to your folio. Please know we strictly enforce this policy.
La Avenida has a limited number of dog-friendly guestrooms. If you are interested in bringing your dog, advance reservations as well as a flat fee are required. Please click here for additional information. Guests who bring a dog to the hotel without making an advance reservation or notifying the staff will be subject to a $200 charge. If you are interested in bringing your pet, please call the hotel directly to review the policy and inquire if a pet-friendly guestroom is available during your dates of stay.
If you should need a rollaway, please contact us immediately as we have a limited number available, and we will need to confirm that your room can accommodate an additional guest. Our single queen and single king guestrooms accommodate up to two guests. A rollaway bed may be added for $20, if available. Our double queen rooms accommodate up to four guests, maximum and double queen rooms cannot accommodate a roll-away bed. If more than the maximum number of guests are in a room, you will be asked to reserve a second guestroom. If unavailable, your additional guests will be asked to find alternative accommodations. We enforce this policy for the safety of our in-house guests.
We welcome families and children. For your comfort, please speak with a front desk associate to determine the best room to accommodate your family. Quiet hours must be observed after 8:30 pm for the comfort of all in the hotel. If you need a crib, please request one in advance as we have a limited number available.
Reservations for seven days or more are subject to pre-payment of the entire amount at the time of reservation. A 14-day cancellation policy applies on extended stays. For all reservations cancelled 14 days or more before the date of arrival, your deposit will be refunded less a $25 processing fee. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival will forfeit 50% of the entire amount of the stay, plus tax. Once checked-in, early departures are charged for the entire length of the original reservation.
Burning candles is not allowed due to the potential fire hazard. Please do not light a candle in your guestroom. If lit, you will be liable for the entire amount of damage.
Debit and credit cards will be charged at check-in for the full amount of your stay, and a valid ID is required. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
If paying with cash, payment for the entire stay is due at check-in, along with a valid ID and credit card.

In addition, it boasts many boutiques and restaurants in its walkable downtown district. Coronado Island also offers over 15 miles of dedicated bike and running paths.
The beauty of Coronado Island also lies in its convenience. San Diego is just a short drive across the Coronado Bridge or a ferry ride across the bay. Use Coronado Island as your launching point for exploring San Diego’s numerous attractions, such as Balboa Park, La Jolla Cove, as well as its many museums.

It’s a short trip from the mainland via the Coronado Bridge or the ferry, but truly a world apart.
