General Info & Policies
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT TIME
Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is by 11:00 a.m. on the departure date, unless previously arranged with the front desk. Due to our small size, we typically cannot accommodate an early check-in or late departure.
BREAKFAST
Complimentary hot coffee, pastries and fruit available each morning from 6am to 10am daily in the Front Office Lobby.
POOL
Our outdoor pool is available to guests between 7am and 10pm. The pool is not heated, however, during the summer months the pool tends to be the perfect temperature to cool down in after enjoying the beautiful warm sunshine at the beach.
OCCUPANCY AND LOCAL TAX
Transient Occupancy Tax is charged on the room rate only. There are no additional fees.
GUARANTEE POLICY
To guarantee your reservation, we require a valid credit card. Unless otherwise stated at time of reservation, we do not charge your card in advance except for July 1-7 and holiday/event periods which require prepayment in full at the time of reservation.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy for January 1 to June 12th and also from the day after Labor Day to December 31st.
From June 12th to Labor Day we have a 14 day cancellation policy.
During the week of July 1 to July 7, all reservations are non-refundable and non-transferable
If you do not cancel your reservations in accordance with the hotel’s cancellation policy, you will be charged for one night’s hotel stay. (With the exception of any reservations during July 1-7)
All cancellations incur a $25 cancellation fee. Any reservations made online through the La Avenida website or that was made directly with the hotel, please call (800) 437-0162 and our Front Desk Agents will be more than happy to assist you. We highly recommend that you reserve directly with the inn to receive the best rate, however you may use third-party agents. Should you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so through their website.
GROUPS, HOLIDAYS AND SPECIAL EVENT PERIODS
Group bookings and reservations during a special event or holiday period are subject to a longer cancellation policy and pre-payment. This will be stated on your confirmation. If you have any questions, please contact the manager about your cancellation policy. Guests who fail to cancel their reservation and reserved their guestroom as part of a group or during a special event period are subject to a no-show charge equal to the entire stay. La Avenida requires a minimum stay during certain periods of the year, special events and holiday periods. If you have reserved a guestroom during a time period with a minimum night stay and need to cancel, depart early or fail to check-in for your reservation, please know that the minimum night stay will be charged to your credit card on file. GUEST IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED
Guests will be required to present valid identification at check-in that matches the guest name on the reservation as well as the credit card used to pay for the guestroom. If someone other than the guest on the reservation will be paying the folio charges, a Credit Card Authorization form is required and must be on file at time of check-in.
SMOKE-FREE
La Avenida Inn is 100% smoke-free. Please do not smoke or vape in any of the guestrooms, on the patios or within 20 feet of the building. If smoking occurs, there will be a $200 cleaning fee per night added to your folio. Please know we strictly enforce this policy.
DOG-FRIENDLY
La Avenida has a limited number of dog-friendly guestrooms. If you are interested in bringing your dog, advance reservations as well as a flat fee are required. Please click here for additional information. Guests who bring a dog to the hotel without making an advance reservation or notifying the staff will be subject to a $200 charge. If you are interested in bringing your pet, please call the hotel directly to review the policy and inquire if a pet-friendly guestroom is available during your dates of stay.
ADDITIONAL GUESTS
If you should need a rollaway, please contact us immediately as we have a limited number available, and we will need to confirm that your room can accommodate an additional guest. Our single queen and single king guestrooms accommodate up to two guests. A rollaway bed may be added for $20, if available. Our double queen rooms accommodate up to four guests, maximum and double queen rooms cannot accommodate a roll-away bed. If more than the maximum number of guests are in a room, you will be asked to reserve a second guestroom. If unavailable, your additional guests will be asked to find alternative accommodations. We enforce this policy for the safety of our in-house guests.
CHILDREN WELCOME
We welcome families and children. For your comfort, please speak with a front desk associate to determine the best room to accommodate your family. Quiet hours must be observed after 8:30 pm for the comfort of all in the hotel. If you need a crib, please request one in advance as we have a limited number available.
EXTENDED STAYS & EARLY DEPARTURE POLICY
Reservations for seven days or more are subject to pre-payment of the entire amount at the time of reservation. A 14-day cancellation policy applies on extended stays. For all reservations cancelled 14 days or more before the date of arrival, your deposit will be refunded less a $25 processing fee. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival will forfeit 50% of the entire amount of the stay, plus tax. Once checked-in, early departures are charged for the entire length of the original reservation.
CANDLES
Burning candles is not allowed due to the potential fire hazard. Please do not light a candle in your guestroom. If lit, you will be liable for the entire amount of damage.
CREDIT CARD / DEBIT CARD POLICY
Debit and credit cards will be charged at check-in for the full amount of your stay, and a valid ID is required. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
CASH POLICY
If paying with cash, payment for the entire stay is due at check-in, along with a valid ID and credit card.
